New here to the forum and first of all Happy New Year to all. Cleaning out the gun room and ran across a collector set of Schatt and Morgan from several years back. It include 6 or 7 different folding pocket knives in different designs all with genuine stag handles and then one pearl handled knife. Comes with wooden display case with glass cover. Limited edition and only so many made. What year might this have been made and what might the approximate value be? Thanks!

    Welcome to KnifeForums.
It sounds like you have a complete set from 1995:
1995 - The fifth year had five knives, four of them were Burnt Stag and the other in Pearl ( Doc )
    03161C Cotton Knife
    033264 Canoe Whittler
    052296 Doctors Knife w/Spat Blade - Pearl
    03191L Swing Guard
    032101 Sway Belly Trapper
As described in this thread in the Queen/Schatt & Morgan forum.
A good photo or photos would be helpful in making a more positive identification.

THANKS Berkley, you are absolutely correct. I dug it out this morning instead of going from memory (I'm old). Only discrepancy is that the boxes definitely say "genuine stag" so I don't now if that means "burnt stag" or not. Any idea of value anyone?

The best advice I can give is to keep checking eBay for comparable sales. I just did a search of completed listings, and found two of the stag canoe whittlers sold for $75 and $97.78. Two of the pearl doctor’s knives sold for $77.00 and $134.00. Three of the stag cotton samplers, each offered at $150, drew no bids. I used “1995 Schatt” as my search term.
The complete set with presentation case is theoretically worth more than the total of the individual knives - IF you find a buyer who is interested in acquiring them all.

Looking at the pictures it appears the set is #15 from 2005. http://www.schattandmorgan.com/stor...
For the limited number of Schatt & Morgan knives made the resale price has historically been low for such a quality knife.
