Its not too bad....but it is about the lowest grade that should be used for a general use knife.
Just about everything else used by the main companies is better.

That said, I have had one or two AUS8 knives.
OK for casual use.

Agreed. But if you go something like in s30v, the price would be three times the amount. My bad on this crkt M16 is a 13 mov Chinese Steel. Not bad but surely not the best.
