I need some help on where I can find any information on this Sigvalt folder I recently purchased at auction. I am not looking for value information. I would like to know the history of the knife and the company. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Welcome to KF!!!

Can't be authoritative..but, while we wait for someone who can, I would venture it is an early-mid 19th century horseman's knife.
Name and construction put me in mind of the German style.

I haven't come across the name and it isn't in the books I have at hand.

I'm afraid the real expert, Mr Levine, doesn't come here, anymore
Opinions? I have many. Some I don't, even, know about until I read my posts.

Nice knife. I think Brian is right. What is the blade on the bottom picture, that is straight out.
I looks like a saw may have been there, kind of like a hacksaw saw, but I can not see how it would attach.
