Username Post: First knife, carbon steele & alder        (Topic#939336)
06-15-14 05:48.04 - Post#2605616

Here are some pictures of my first selfmade knife.

The design is simple scandinavian, with a barrel shaped handle, altough the belly is slighltly bigger than the back. It has a teardrop cross section. The wood used is alder root that has been cut down in a swamp forest at home. It has been coulured dark and oiled. The blade is made of carbon steele and has a lenght of 95 mm.

I hope my text is understandable. English is not my first language.

Any comments would be greatly appriciated.

What a great looking users knife. If this really is your first knife, you really have a great future as a knife maker.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks for your kind words.
Maybe I have to clearify a bit. The blade is not made by myself. IT is a ready-made (dont know if that is the correct english term) RB-blade by Kourbevare Smide.
