This is my first go at a true scandi so tell me if I messed it up. I forged the blade from the end of a billet of steel that I made some time ago. It's 2848 layers of 01 an 1060 steel with 3-1/4 twists. The blade has a scandi grind and I finished it with a short time in the bluing salts to give it color. If you look closely in the second picture you can see that there is a patch of scale on the top edge of the blade that was too deep to remove without grinding away too much blade so I left it, just trying to be honest here. The handle is a stabilized maple burl and is made of two slabs that were milled for the 3/4 length tang and the brass pin was peened for extra measure. Overall length is 6-5/8" with 3-1/8" of that being blade. The sheath is a drop in chocolate rawhide with a tan calfskin lining, made to hang around the neck. I'm asking $175. Email me if you are interested, comment if you are not(I can use the advice). Thanks for looking.
