No. The swedge gives the blade a finer point.

Swedge grinds, added by BRK&T. They are not sharpened.

    Bravo 1 dropped point field knife(s) w/sedge

    Click em!

Little Creek w/ Mcknight swedge added. Gunny & Bravo 1 w/swedge added at their Spa Treatment.

I didn't request a sharpened swedge. They would be illegal to carry, in any manner in MI with a sharpened swedge. Just gives them a finer point. I don't usually baton my knives, God invented axes to split wood.

Well, since I dropped a grand on BRKT knives since Sunday, I'll have to wait a few days for some money to come in.
BUT, I feel a BRKT B1, sharpened swedge grind,
with some kind of burl handles in my future.

I find myself HORRIBLY jealous of you, my friend, on BOTH counts!

*IF* I were to have a grand laying about with the intention of indulging in my passion for BRKT products, either the Minister of Finance (aka: She Who Must Be obeyed) would discover it and find a "more suitable" use for it or one of the kids would suddenly break a leg...

I suppose the only thing to do is to beg you for photos. Drooling over photos is FREE!

All of my children are adults now and the Minister here spends her fun money on Texas Holdem tourniments.
    I spend mine on knives.

My passion is production bowies which Bark River does not have in current production. But I truly love the BRKT knives. I currently own 5 BRKT and one BRKT BJ TAC-OPS 8 (I'll probably order another TO8 before the day is over).

    thank you
    Bill
