It weighs in at 729g made out of 5160 steel. Cutting edge is a touch over 12", and overall length is 18 ¾”. The blade is ¼” thick at the stainless bolster tapering out to 1/8” by the tip.

Handle is my own experiment of beige, and black denim soaked in epoxy then wrapped as tight as i could get it. Much like home made Micarta without it being pressed.

BTW the cho notch was a bugger, and fun at the same time. That and some of my original hammer marks were left in the blade just for fun. Most of the blade was encased in refractory cement to help with the edge quench. The wavy line might be brought again if I etch it, but…

I have many more pictures of the process, but didn’t want to overdue it here. Feel free to ask some questions. This is my most complete knife to date, but not the first time I have smashed a knife like shape.

File size is a bit too big for more than one picture per post... Arrrgh!!! It sucks being computer challenged. Please forgive me. My 5 year old is too busy to help out old dad change a file size. Which I'm sure she could do just by accident.

Still have a little finish work to do, and definitely not made to be a show piece. Just a work horse. Already planning the next one.

p.s. No belt sander was harmed in the making of this knife. Because I don't have one. This was made much in the manner of those hard working guys in Nepal. I tip my hat to their efforts.

That would be way beyond my ability. LOL

This knife here represents all my spare time for the last four months. Well, all my spare time for knife making that is.

I will do my best to show actual real world testing. For as to compete with a real Kukri. It has to perform as well.

I hope it does. That would be the highest complement.
