Got 'em safe today. Already in love with the Perrin! I already know I need to have one...now to just find something to trade to someone who has one!

Not sure, but the slippie ukpk seems awfully easy to close on my fingers...not sure if the pivot is too loose, or what, but it is not stiff like the other slippie spyder I have tried.

    Glad you got 'em Vic.

The UKPKLW's spring is not quite as strong as the original UKPK, but it shouldn't be super easy to close. Is there any side to side play in the blade?

PS I will PT you jbdiver's address.

        In response to frankk

Just a quick note on the LW UKPK, this is a slip joint and the spring may not be quite as strong as the original UKPK, I ask that everyone be extra careful when using it and as with all of the passaround knives, please give it a inspection before you use it and if you think it is in a unsafe condition, please let me know so that Spyderco can repair or replace the knife. Also please keep in mind that slip joints are not suitable for stabbing or drilling/prying with the point because it may fold unexpectedly (it is a good idea to always hold these knives with a firm grip with your index finger in the choil when using them).

If there seems to be a problem, please DO NOT try to fix it yourself or attempt to take the knife apart. If there is a problem Spyderco needs to know about it and inspect and repair the knife themselves.

    Thanks.

    Frank

Unless something changed, I would say there is no blade play. It was easy to open but I did not have the original UK knife to compare to. I just thought it was how Spyderco made slipjoint knives. And I thought it was not problem.

    Thanks Again,
    Brad
