The folks at Mission were very helpful with my questions and making little adjustments to the standard (unfortunately couldn't get a green handle). Can't wait to get the knife should be here next week.

    Nice!
I've one and I love it.
What do you intend to use it for?

It'll mostly be a dive knife but given its sturdy contruction I could see it becoming my hunting/camping knife as well.

Since you dive, an MPD (or MPU) should be your next choice!

I have plenty of standard fare dive knives so that will most likely not be my next purchase ( I don't subscribe to the point may puncture my BC craze). Actually I may get a spyderco jumpmaster for the all serated blade but we'll see. Does mission still make a folder? Been thinking of an emerson or bradley pocket knife since I found this forum.

    a) Standard Fare dive knives. The MPD is not a standard fare dive knife, but a cut above (no pun intended).

    b) Have you seen the MPD? No point -

    c) MPD - full serrated blade.

The MPD/MPU's were designed from the CT knives (the second most popular design after the MPK).

    Try one, you'll like it.

When I first bought the MPK 10 Ti I intended to use it as my dive knife. But after when I saw it, handled it and so on I changed my mind and after a while I got a MPD. Don't get me wrong, the MPK is very nice, but I'm no Special Operations soldier, I found the MPK too big for just recreational diving.
The MPD is very nice, I use that one while diving and it's handy as well for cutting mooring lines on land.
After being so amazed by the little knife I ordered a MPU. Very nice knife! I wish they'll make one in Stainless Steel as well for harder woods works...
So, I use my MPK for the harder uses while on the woods or camping. I don't like to carry an ax or hatchet, and this knife is something in between of a knife and hatchet. I put a decent edge on it and it lasts quite well for titanium, the only thing I'm aware is not to knock it against rocks while on the woods. Besides that... man, I beat the hell out of it, split and cut wood for all of my needs!
Going on holidays tomorrow morning... going to make a couple of dives if the sea conditions are ok and going to hike next to a brackish water lagoon ... so MPD and MPU already packed!

Greenbeetle - Anthony told me they were all gone and wouldnt be available for awhile. Maybe you have some?

008 - Did you get a chance to look at the MPD?

When I say standard fare, I mean knives designed specifically for diving. Some of them are fantastic some of them are crap but I'm going to try the bulky MPK to see if it is a hindrance as the extra utility is enticing to me.

I may consider an MPU in the future if I could get it with a fully serated edge.

Thanks for all of the info and feedback guys.
