Hey fellas. I recently became interested in getting my hands on a butterfly knife, and I've seen a couple options that interest me. Regrettably, the one which most appeals to me is the Cold Steel Paradox. Check it out here: http://www.coldsteel.com/pasba.html

This is regrettable because, as I'm sure most of you already know, the Paradox is not a true butterfly. It has two springs which prevent it from being opened one-handed.
What I was wondering was this: Does anyone own a paradox, and if so, do you think it would it be possible to remove the springs without damaging the knife? Has anybody already tried this? I'd like to find out if it's possible before I invest in and destroy an otherwise decent blade. Thanks for any feedback!

The problem is that there are no tang pins in the knife.
