This is another one I made to test out (but it sold before I finished it, so I have to wait for feedback)

its a 3.5" blade, 5/32" O1 steel @58RC. Full Convex. it is not a secondary bevel, just the way I blended the heat treat scale. Its an intentionally heavy convex for strength and durability, but it slices and cuts incredibly well.

Hope you like it.

Thanks Brian. The big recurve is awesome.

12" blade and 350grams (12.3oz) its a light weight powerhouse.

For the finish.... is that the heat treat scales left on then hit with a buffing wheel?

They look really cool.

a buffing wheel would rip that right off.. even steel wool will take it off.

Basically you fully finish the grind and before heat treat get the grit to the level you want (400 in this case) That way because its all nice and smooth the scale is nice and clean. it will scratch quite easily though. That is litereally how it came out, and then I blended the edge on and wiped it with oil
