Welcome to the Scagel Forums on KnifeForums!

KnivesShipFree is proud to be the new caretaker of the art and legacy of William "Bill" Scagel. And while that's a matter of legal trademark, we know that it's much, much more -- to you and to us.

We'll be announcing the first of our series of Scagel knives and tools, made by Bark River Knives, in the coming weeks. The new "Scagels," along with their sheaths, won't be imitations or reproductions -- we intend them as respectful tributes to the man and his incomparable work.

It'll be fun -- for all of us!

In closing, we'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dave Shirley, the most recent keeper of the Scagel flame, and to everyone who appreciates the practical artistry of Bill Scagel.

Enjoy, and again, welcome aboard!
Derrick

Thank you also for the new forum. Thank You to Mike for picking up the build side.

Ditto on this. The only Scagel type blade I own is a camp ax from Mike run last year. Looking forward to what Derrick & crew comes up with.
