I got my Boker Magnum Puukko in the mail today. Yes, I know it isn't traditional in that it isn't of proper origin, uses 440 stainless steel, and - horror of horrors - it has a hollow grind!

Despite that, I like it. It has nice overall lines and feels good in the hand. I think its an attractive piece and it comes with a decent brown leather sheath (although again, not traditionally styled). Boker is closing these out so if you have any interest in one you may want to pick one up soon.

I know Rich S turned his hollow grind into a flat grind but I think I'll leave this one as is. I have enough true Scandis that I can deal with a hollow on this knife.

Looks a little larger and more hand-filling that I thought it would be.

You should work for Boker, your pics make it look like much more of a knife than it really is. What type of camera do you use?

A Canon G11. Great camera, although I'm still learning the ins and outs of it. Its pretty forgiving though!

Looks like a real workhorse. Bet you could lay down some really powerful, comfortable cuts with it.

I got mine direct from Boker after talking with them at SHOT. Looks like Bladematrix has them in stock still. Might be some other places as well. I guess once they're gone though, they're gone.
