Derrick at Knives Ship Free contacted me and asked that i make a Non-handle slab Neck Knife.
As most of you know - I am NOT a fan of knives without scales.
Over the decades I have held and seen hundreds of them and even given a few a try in use.
They certainly have their place in Ultra Thin Compactness or as a Hide-Out Knife in situations that might require it.
This knife had to be more than that.
The only way to accomplish what Derrick asked for and satisfy Myself on the Usefulness side was to design the knife with Optional - Removable - and ultimately Interchangeable Handle Scales.
Decoding to add this knife to the Bravo Series was a total No Brainer for me.
Designing and Engineering the handles was a bit more time consuming.
The handles had to lock into the knife and be easy to Mount - Remove and Interchange.
In addition to the Design - Bark River is all about Choices.
I wanted the choices to be more than just the choice of handles.
We came up with the Electro-Static Powder Coating as a way of adding Choices.
Again - Most of you know that coatings slow Down the Cutting Power of a blade by up to 50% of it's potential.
The Solution was to not compromise the cutting Power of the necker by grinding the blade as normal and removing the Powder Coating on the blade portion as we convex the blade.
Derrick and I decided on the initial Color Offerings.
Black - Ranger Green - Desert Tan - Blood Red - International Orange

Tall Order Number 2
This one was more for Sharpshooter Reid than one for me.
Derrick wanted an Optional Leather Sheath that would Serve equally well as a Neck Sheath - A Belt Sheath and would also be Easy to Attach to the Bravo-1 optional leather Drop sheath.
To make it more interesting - he wanted the leather sheath to also fit the Rat Cutlery Izula with no modification.
Reid Stood Tall to the Challenge and developed a totally New Spine-Loc sheath for this Project.
