Hey Gang,

Here is the North Star 2009.

The North Star was Bark River's First entry into the Bushcraft Task Arena.

The Knife was Suggested by and Developed With Reid Hyken (Sharpshooter here on the forum). The North Star is a great General Purpose knife but excels at Woodcraft Tasks.

The Pointed Spear Point Blade is the most popular shape for this kind of field work.

The North Star has gone through a few changes and evolutions over the years.

We have extended the handle slabs forward to be very close to the Plunge line of the Grind. This will give a more secure grip and enhance the notching ability of the knife. We eliminated the small notches on the underside of the handle in the Choil Area.

For 2009 we have made the handle about .040" thicker than on Previous Runs of the North star.

The Notches on the Top of the Blade are now deeper and more defined for easier use on a Ferro Rod.

The North Star 2009 carries the Bark River Bushcraft Compass Point Mark on the Right Facing of the Blade.

You have the option of using either the Hole or the External Loop -- or grinding off the external Loop(or having us do it for you) -- if You feel that the loop might interfere with palm thrust style Drilling with the point.

All North Star 2009s are Supplied with the Sharpshooter Sheath Systems- Bushcraft "B" - Modular Sheath.

This sheath is compact and 100% made in Our shop by Reid and his Crew.

All of the Above Knives have been Shipped out to the U.S. Distributors & dealers.

Jenni's Shipment to Germany will probably go out on Monday or Tuesday.

It goes by Air so she will have it Quickly.

The North star is one of the Backbone Model in our line.

Glad we were able to fit this run in before the End of the Year.

Check with Your dealer on which models they are getting and their Actual selling prices.

PS- Whoever was "spry" enough to get moon glow spacers on that black handle- WAY TO GO
