So, i finally got the first pictures of the butchihiki... i cant wait to have this thing in my hands. So far, it is beyond my expectations. Enjoy the pictures.

its SS so it might burn your eyes to look at it too long

im now at the point that i may have ot drive to a fellow knife makers shop and saw more steel as im still waiting to here back about the used one i looked at

i hate beinng this far behind and worse yet is that i have orders older then this that were drawn on the steel but never got cut


oooo on good news crucible steel will be back in knife steels (sorta) come the first of the year so i ll get more cpm154

i ll try and get a few more pictures of this blade when i get a chance

I love that 1st SS spacer on the handle. It reminds me of the 1st ever kitchen knife you posted in this forum, even tho that one had a western handle. The knife is absolutely Butch & googeous (sic).

this is the result of that thread... so, auctually, i have chris and thomas (and all the other participants) to thank for this as well as butch... its pretty cool to see something like this happen. I think that the best thing is that if people like the knife, they can track down the design thread and they will have everything they need to have their own made. Keep butch busy... thats the goal. Lets help him buy a new saw
