I wonder why Victorinox hasn't made alox Ramblers a part of their regular line. There seems to be a lot of demand for them.

We don't want to ask too much of the special relationship that Swiss Bianco has built with Victorinox. Their minimum special order is 5,000 and getting these special runs is a big privilege, and one that has 'ruffled feathers' at the factory in the past because some there don't understand the special relationship that has been built.

there are an huge number of different sak be made and they work for 99% of us all.

however, some modifications, different tools or else ideas, to make an existing sak more useful, for certain applications, cause the small number for collectors or somebody who now you cant buy that in allmost any stores is it worth it - for us customers, not for an huge company, the money is non existent for them and the trouble way to big.

i am the happiest swiss around to get some projects done in an for me financially possible scale and make us all happy, more and more people, my biggest thank you go to mr elsener and mr muller, without them it would not be possible at all.

Actually Roger stated in another forum that this is now an item that can be reordered from Victorinox at any time in batches of 100. Unless something was lost in the translation, this Alox Rambler will be different than the other custom stuff, so I don't think we'll be asking too much to get these produced. Hopefully they will be very popular (as I suspect) and Vic might eventually decide to make it a regular item. Waiting for cost, marketing, and how smooth the transactions go, but this could be a very hot seller.

no thats not true, maybe mistranslation.

the first batch of alox rambler, only for +B made, will have 60 pcs color ones, orange, red, purple, some splash, then some silver alox ones.

we work on them and i think we can have them in january ready.

i try to order as many i can afford, its an huge risk cause by new sak models nobody now if they will sell or not.

the feedback in the forums regarding the alox bushcrafter was not mutch but as it was avaliable it was sold out in an couple houers. in january there will be more of them too.

there is no plan that i now of to offer these spl models in the regular victorinox line, its an +B exclusive.

    Thanks for clarifying.

I'm betting they will be "very" popular.

Great to hear the Bushcrafter was popular, I'll be trying to get one from the next batch.

I'd like to also see a +B Bushcrafter II that replaces the opener layer with the Electrian's blade and Small pruner, rather than removing it. I think both configurations would be very popular.
