I was digging through my old desk and found two of my grandfathers knives.

One of them was a Scrade Old Timer 330T.
I think this is a real beautiful knife, and I'm going to buy one new. Ill sharpen this up soon and use it for months, I'm sure. Anyway, here are some pictures of it.

I like this knife a whole lot. I hope to get some good use out of it.

Great prices on BRKT.

I have a feeling beer and knives probably shouldn't be used together, but I do it anyway.

I'm afraid you mean they were made in your home town, unless you reside in China.
As always, just my $0.02

WAS
Isn't the new owner making them in China?

I don't know..just thought Schrade went down the tubes with Camillus.

But, I don't know where they are made, now.

I don't like the slip-joints Schrade makes now. But the old ones are just wonderful.

So your hometown is Ellenville, NY ?

I have some old Schrades that were made there.
Wonderful knives.

It saddened me quite a bit when I heard that Schrade locked the doors to their plant back in
2004.

Where did all those laid-off workers go ?

Weren't some Schrades made in Ireland as well? I comment on the current folders but I've heard only good things about the Chinese made fixed - the quality of M in C varies but can be very good - really depends on who's actually doing the quality control. IMO Case slipjoints were always better than Schrade but the Old Timers have their own endearing charm
I'm paranoid only cause everyone's out to get me!

this model was one of their most popular sellers.
Called a stockman. Retailed for about $30 when they folded. Carbon steel and will rust easily but sharpens up well.
