Hi, I'm kinda new to this forum, but I was wondering if anyone could help me appraise this knife I bought recently. It's a Parker Cutlery Co. balisong/butterfly knife with "gypsy" written on the blade. I'll add more description if anyone can help me out. I think it may be antique but I can't tell.

Not an antique...not of great value.
You can google Jim Parker. He had a rather dubious reputation for running companies into the ground in short order.

Mr. Levine may fill in some details.

There are folks who collect Parker Cut Co knives, but they don't pay much for most of them.
1970s and later. Some still sold by his son, Buzz.

Which came first, the knife -- or the book?
