William F. Moran Jr. passed on at 3AM this morning from complications of colon cancer.
He was one of the greats of the knife making world, and one of the pioneers of custome knifemaking of the 20th century.
knife collectors as well as his friends will miss him.

This is Sad News Indeed.
Bill was a Mentor and Inspiration to literally Hundreds and Hundreds of Bladesmiths and Knifemakers, including me.
He devoted his life to furthering the Trade and was a True Master of Steel and more importantly--a Master Teacher.
All of us that knew him have been blessed to have him in our lives.
He will be Missed but his Legand will live Forever.
Rest in Peace Bill--You Done Good.
