    Three knife set,made in 1975,derlin handles,wooden display
box. I bought one recently for $200 and was wondering what
they were selling for at the bigger knife shows...

I have that set I bought in early 80s for $60.00, don't know what they would sell for now but one of my older books from 86 list them for $125.00

I am sure they have gone up quite a bit in 20 years. Does yours have the gold looking blades with dark delrin handles ? My box has a large plasic tree brand emblem glued on the outside.

Yes, Same set sounds like. Nice gold looking plating
on some of the blades. Also, like a crisscross pattern
on the bottom of the back springs and divider.
I like the way the box opens up,too.
Wonder what they would charge in 2005 to make a set with
    that much workmanship invested?

Box lids reminds me of scizzor jacks, the backsprings do have a thin working of some kind.

As I said, the price I have is from a long time ago, I would say it would cost several hundred dollars (or more) to do this type work now.
