I recently got a Case XX 431-7 7" butcher knife at an estate sale ($1.00), & would like more info about it. I've been unable to find anything pertinent. Can anyone provide any info, such as approximate age, value, etc?
It's been used, but not abused. The blade has a bit of a recurve shape to it--was the edge originally straight, or curved? I've seen butcher knives both ways.
I want to clean it up & get it back into use in the kitchen.
I also have a Case 10" chef's knife. When was Case in the kitchen cutlery business, & when did they cease to be?
