Can't find anything on how to contact Cumberland Mountain Knife and Tool anywhere on the Internet, including here in KnifeForums. Anyone know how to get ahold of these folks. And why they are so difficult to get a line on? Thanks, Mike
Ron, Thanks for the effort! I'm looking for the folks who make autos out of Buck 110s and 112s. They are the Cumberland Mountain Knife and Tool Company (unless I am greatly mistaken), not the other Cumberland folk. But again, thank you for your time. Does anyone know why these guys stay so hard to find. I hear they make great auto conversions out of the Bucks and am interested. I just want to as someone at the company some questions.
I personally haven't heard of the company you are referring to or but have heard about the conversion kit. But I did an internet search and came up with:
Mikem, Cumberland Mtn. no longer makes the Buck automatics. I have heard that the guy who did it either retired or passed away(no disrespect meant if this info is wrong). His son now runs the company and has no interest in making these or working on the ones already out there. And yes, this is a different company than Cumberland Knives. Keep watching the for sale forums, they show up for sale regularly.
CMKT is still in business and converting Buck 110/112's. Rick recently started converting Case Mako's. Rick's father or grandfather passed away last year and there was a lull in production. Here's the number I have for CMKT. It's a year or more old and I haven't tried it lately (615)735-2805. If you can't contact Rick directly, you might be able to get RayJay to pass a question to him. CMKT had several tables at Atlanta Blade Show last year.

Thanks Mark! CMKT is harder to track than the KGB. Much appreciated. Mike
hi mikem; i'd been going through the same thing as you trying to get a line on CMKT. i've got one one of their old style Buck 110's DA leaf spring model that needs some minor repair & tweaking. yesterday morning 2-2-01 i was able to get someone on the phone & they are in business & still making knives. i guess i'll have to make a 2 part apology here & say i feel kinda?? bad about some other posts i've made on other forums about this issue & give part 2 of the apology after i see how they will fix my knife & treat me as an individual. it doesn't bother me to eat a little crow as long as they'll be honest & treat me right on this situation. below is CONTACT INFO & try to call them as early as you can 8 or 9 CST (i think)?? Cumberland Mountain Tool & Knife 112 River Rd., Carthage, TN.,37030 Phone # 615-735-2805 i sure hope this info will help you!! good luck & best regards commander45 aka alfred
