    In response to Aldo

So this was the first knife I have ever made. It uses "4000" Carbon Steel O1.

I found Aldo on the web when looking for steel to buy, several people mentioned that they would only buy from him, so I figured he must be a good guy. I was right.

I heat-treated it in a Paint can forge using a Bernzomatic JT539t torch head. Aldo suggested I sandwich the metal in between 1/8 inch pieces of stainless steel to prevent bowing.

Color is mixed on the blade because I couldn't be sure that I got the entire blade up to it's non-magnetic point without taking it out of the stainless steel sandwich.
