I have a knife that was given to me and haven't been able to find out where it came from. The only insignia on it are the letters NK in a circle, with the N and K pushed together. Thanks

Hmmm, could it be Nolen Knives of Estes Park, CO R.D. and George?

Hi and welcome to the KFC to you newbe's, great to see you here!

If it's a Slip Joint, i think you should ask this in the SJ Forum as well and a picture would help, if not tell us it's size, how many blades it has, handle material and how long have you had it?
