Here's one that was just finished up for me.

First Joonas, now Pekka. These puukkos are addicting.

Beautiful kamagong, you have two really nice puukkos.

Thanks Bill. I have high hopes for this one, seeing that it was built by one of Finland's seven mastersmiths.

NIce! A Tuominen puukko with left forge finish is almost strange... any specs?

I don't have exact specs, but I asked for a 95 mm silversteel blade with a birch bark handle. I'll update the specs when I have it in hand.

Good good. What about a compared try out of this and the Kallioniemi one?

Just looking at bladeshape I would say that this would be a better hunter, while Kallioniemi's one would be a better carver.

Agreed. The first thought that entered my mind when I received these pictures were that the Pekka puukko looked more robust and more suited as a general purpose knife. Joonas' knife seems optimized for woodworking.

I received my Tuominen puukko today, so I thought I'd add some pictures.

Now let's test it together with Kallioniemi's one.

They're both at the top of the class that's for sure.
