January 2001, Bradford, Pa. — W.R. Case
& Sons Cutlery Company, the most recognized knife brand in America,
is returning the Doctor’s Knife to the market this year.
Physicians have demanded durability and
quality in a knife since the days when they made house calls in a horse-drawn
buggy. Back then, its razor-sharp blade had to cut pills in half or even
serve as a backup scalpel. The flat end was used to grind medicine into
powder.
House calls and the black bag have gone
the way of the buggy but this classic knife is still an ideal companion.
“The Doctor’s Knife is a romantic pocket
knife pattern that Case enthusiasts have requested for a long time,” explained
John Sullivan, Marketing Director for W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company.
“In continuing to respond to our customers, we decided to bring back this
popular traditional style.”
The new Case Doctor’s Knife has a traditional
Tru-Sharp® surgical steel three inch spear blade that closes into a
Genuine Vintage Bone handle. Or you can get the durable synthetic
Yellow Handle with chrome vanadium steel blades.
W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co. has been
making high quality knives since 1889. The most popular collectable brand
of knife in America, Case continues to make its knives the old-fashioned
way — by hand. For more information, call 800-523-6350 or visit their web
