January 2001, Bradford, Pa. — For the 2001
catalog, W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company is introducing a new Fishing
Knife based on the new Medium Texas Toothpick.
“We are paying attention to our
customers’ desires and market trends,” said John Sullivan, Marketing Director
for W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company. “With the growing popularity
of angling and our new Medium Texas Toothpick base, the time seemed right
to introduce a good fishing knife.”
The fishing knife features the Tru-Sharp®
surgical steel long clip blade and a scaling blade with a hook disgorger
on the tip. A fishhook sharpening stone is embedded into the highly visible
yellow handle. At 4 ¼” (closed) this knife slips easily into
any pocket an angler chooses and at 2.6 ounces, it’ll never weigh a fisherman
down.
The Medium Texas Toothpick is a long,
slender, single-blade knife available in the new Amber Bone or Rosewood
handle material in the 2001 catalog.
W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co. has been
making high quality knives since 1889. The most popular collectable brand
of knife in America, Case continues to make its knives the old-fashioned
way — by hand. For more information, call 800-523-6350 or visit their web
