February 2002, Bradford, Pa. – For 2002, W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery
Company has created a new knife style that is a true masterpiece. A
symbol of Case’s appreciation for the finer things in life, the upscale
Tuxedo knife pattern is a timeless symbol of style and quality.
“This knife is Case’s answer to the request for a more up-scale gentleman’s
knife. This stylish piece is expected to become an instant classic upon
its arrival,” said W.R. Case & Sons Marketing Director, John Sullivan.
“The Tuxedo is one of the most striking knives we have ever released –
another example of how committed we are to meeting the diversified needs
of our Case customers.”
Available in four exclusive and exotic handle materials the
Tuxedo aligns itself with a refined style that screams black-tie. Two
of the handle materials offered fall under the new Exotics line - Exotic
Turquoise and Exotic Jet stone. Turquoise, which is derived from the famous
Kingman Mine in Arizona, is highly collectable since no two handles are
alike. Polished black Jet stone, which comes from gem-quality coal, was
originally used in English jewelry
and later adopted by Native Americans for decorative accents. Nickel
silver and Mother-of-Pearl spacer designs give the Exotic knives a dramatically
decorative touch. The Tuxedo is also being offered in luxurious Mother-of-Pearl
and the popular Pocket Worn® Old Red Bone.
This new knife features spear and pen blades. Closed it measures 3
1/2” and weighs only one ounce.
W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has been making
high quality knives since 1889. The most popular collectible brand in
America, Case continues to make its knives the old-fashioned way – by
hand. For more information, call 800-523-6350 or visit their web site at
