SilverScript.jpg February 2002, Bradford, Pa. – In response to the popularity of the Silver Script shield introduced in 2001, W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company is expanding itsPeanut.jpg product line by offering 10 additional patterns in Rogers jigged Autumn Bone handles with new Small Silver Script inlays and Tru-Sharp™ surgical steel blades.

“The new Small Silver Script is in direct response to the overwhelming launch of Silver Script last year,” said John Sullivan, Case Marketing Director. “We’re expecting the same reaction with the popular patterns being offered in Autumn Bone handles this year.”

Case enthusiasts were captivated with the rare-prototype nickel silver Case script trademark insert that made its debut on the handles of knives within the Cranberry Bone family. This new creation made the nameplate, DrScriot.jpg not just the knife, a work of art all its own. By using a smaller version of the shield, we are able to offer our customers more pattern choices.

Although the process of making Silver Script a reality was long and tedious, the time put forth by Case designers and craftsmen to make this custom-designed concept a reality was worth every minute. The process includes the Case name being precisely routed into the bone handle by a drill the thickness of a hypodermic needle; then, the nickel-silver Case logo is embedded into it by hand. The process is tricky because applying too much pressure or a faulty design can cause either the bit to break or the bone to break.
